Summary

Illiran is the fourth planet in a 12-planet system. It is slightly larger than Earth but around the same mass and gravity. It is a classic M-Class world but has slightly more landmass than Earth does. Illiran has four moons, the furthest is similar in size and mass to Luna but has a light atmosphere is called Iutis. The next two are little more than captured asteroids and are called, Ozuno and Xunus while the closest, Lozone is 1/3 the size of the outer moon and due to the interaction of Illiran and the outer moon has a volcanic landscape.
Illiran is home to 2.8 billion people, most of those are Human but other Federation races can be among the population. The planet and the system are not a part of the Federation but are allied. They are most famous for the advanced ship building and repair facilities. Many Starfleet ships make a stop Illiran for repairs and refits. Their defense forces turned away a Dominion strike force and made it any further assaults upon their system more trouble than it was worth.

Less than 200 meters in length and 55 at its widest it is little more than an asteroid.

*Xunus
At 1'098 meters in diameter this moon is assumed to be a captured comet.

*Lozone
The outer moon is the closest to Illiran, it is a third the size of Luna, it is geologically active, both with a hot active core and due to the tidal forces between Illiran and Iutis; giving it a volcanic landscape.
Points of interest

New Angeles



New Angeles is the capital city of Illiran. It is a busy and densely populated city which covers almost 2,000 square miles and is arranged around the Capital building in a disk like fashion. Towers can be seen rising more than a mile high, self-contained town. Along the outskirts of the city, the industrial sectors were the famous anti-gravity shipyards, 200 hundred meters above the factories below.


The city offers food, drink, goods and so much more. The city is a shining beacon of the Illiran system and is often a place the place to visit and spend hard earned credits.


* Capital Building
- The Capital building is the largest building on the planet. It is home all the divisions, departments and diplomatic functions of the Illiran government. It is a squad dome in the center of New Angeles, hundreds of thousands of people work within the building.


* Floating Stones Ship Yards
- A marvel of engineering, the Floating Stones Ship yards are massive in scope and scale, and hover at 200 meters above the city. Each yard is a collection of 6 construction/repair scaffolding, each able to accommodate an Odyssey Class starship. There are 12 ship yards.


Sky High Orbital Habitats



Sky High is a collection of 5 massive orbital stations that house almost 2 million people. They are self contained and require no external resources for up to 100 years at a time. The stations feature an entire ecosystem, farms and a biosphere.
