We all have a past, a time before we arrived on the Eagle. Here is the place to put it.
Season 1: Strange
The U.S.S. Eagle is assigned to Obsidian Fleet’s Task Force 72 and the year is 2396. The Eagle has been assigned to patrol Cardassian space.
Towards the end of the Dominion war millions of Cardassians were killed when Dominion guns were turned upon them. After the treaty was signed the Alliance powers offered aid in their reconstruction effort; it did not go nearly as smoothly as everyone expected, then after the synthetics attack on Mars and the ban Aid to Cardassian space was withdrawn.
A few years ago, aid was once again offered along with a small number of Starfleet ships to help keep Cardassian boarder secure from a slow, but study build-up of pirate activities. However, there is more to the deployment of the Eagle that simple boarder patrol. As apart of Obsidian Fleet the Eagle should be on the Federation Romulan boarder. However, recently evidence has come to light of possible Romulan or Breen involvement in funding the pirates.
The Eagles mission is to patrol Cardassian space to investigate any organizing presence between individual pirate vessels and work with the Cardassians to end the threat. The Eagle also has a cover mission profile, to patrol and explore Cardassian space, this means that when they get the chance, they will investigate scientific points of interest.
A ship brand new off the factory floor with an untried and tested crew. The Eagle is currently docked at Esquimalt Station awaiting her full crew before heading out.

Having left Esquimalt Station the Eagle makes course for a point in Cardassian space where much of the pirate activity in the last few months has taken place. Along their course there is a large cloud of dust and gasses, not a nebula as such but it did block many of the sensors the Federation sent in that direction. Passing through the cloud was no problem at all but it had been concealing a mid-sized blackhole. Only the singularity was only a few solar masses but it was displaying no signs that of a normal blackhole, no super-heated out-gassing or hawking radiation. Their overall mission profile isn't urgent and a few days could be spared to investigate the anomaly. -

Their encounter at the Blackhole has proven one thing, the Pirates they are hunting are much better funded than they had ever considered. They might even have the backing of another sovereign state. The Eagle will now follow a trail of breadcrumbs to find their base and end the threat.
The database of the attack ship was encoded, Ops and Intelligence have to work together to get the data they need to avoid flying into a trap. -

Their prey is near!
Season 2: Collective
The SS Ikoria is a normal common transport ship which operates between several other star systems and Illiran. The only thing that sets it apart is that the vessel survived an encounter with the Borg. Ten years ago, during the Borg invasion the Ikoria was struck by several Borg projectiles. While severely damaged she was rescued by a contingent of Starfleet ships and make it to a safe harbour. Unknown at the time a Borg virus was introduced to the ships minor systems, where it remained undetected until another chance encounter with a Borg probe ship on the edge of the Illiran system. Once again defying the odds the Ikoria escaped with only minor damage and put in for repairs.
Deep inside a back up CO2 scrubber, a newly awoken Borg nano virus becomes airborne. The virus begins a slow assimilation of the repair crews. Far below, the citizens of Illiran were unaware that the Borg were once again trying to assimilate their culture, the point of no return, the tipping point was now approaching. Millions were infected and it was only a matter of days, maybe weeks before there is no saving them.
The Borg Queen had once considered a similar form of assimilation, at the time she decided that other means were a better choice. The Invasion into the Alpha and Beta quadrants revealed to the Queen one irrefutable fact, conventional warfare with the Alliance was never going to work. The Federation is too powerful, too creative, and ingenious that assaulting their space with ships was doomed from the onset.
A more cover approach was needed, a nanite virus that would spread like an organic virus, slowly working its way through a population. It was even programmed to disguise itself as white blood cells in order to spread undetected.

Months after the Ikoria docks the Borg Nano Virus has infected millions, and the strange disappearances are starting to add up. Strange sightings of Borg can no longer be chalked up to paranoia. The virus is isolated, but as of yet nothing has stopped it.
Season 3: Aurora
Commander Ajani Carter sat on the bridge reviewing the repairs and refits the Eagle had undergone through the Borg incident. They had gotten lucky with that one and the clean up was being handled by the Borg Task Force, a flotilla of six ships led by the Venture. The USS Eagle had broken orbit a few days before and was heading towards their next patrol zone, this time it was towards the beta quadrant length of the border, Romulan and Breen ships had been sighted taking short cuts across UFP space and this needed to stop. The Eagle would the Devil's Brew when they arrive, the two ships together would present a formidable deterrent to trespassers.
Things are starting to get into a routine, and new-to-the-crew members are fitting in and finding their feet aboard the small but versatile ship. Carter had spent way too long into the gamma ship in her chair, she had made it clear to the shift chief she wasn’t here but she should really leave him to it. Sighing, maybe a little too loud she was frustrated with her research so she bid good night to the gamma shift and turned in for the night.
On the Bridge, near the middle of the gamma shift, about 3am the distress call from the Aurora was received.
As the closest ship, the Eagle sets an intercept course knowing they are limited in this kind of operation. Carter gets a message from fleet command, the USS Dennison, an Odyssey Class ship, would arrive 4 days after the Eagle does, they would do the bulk of the work but the crew of the Aurora might not have that long. The shift commander notified the captain and executive officer of the situation and then set a course.

Episode 6: Discovery

For millions of years it was thought that this star was a Red Dwarf, a common class of star and with no detectable planet was considered to be low priority. Captain James Newmen, the Captain of the Nova Class Aurora, trying to save time on his mission, took a shortcut past the system and they were yanked in by the unexpected gravity of the Dyson net. The net has hidden the true nature of the G class star and the massive gravity of the net.
The USS Aurora falls into normal space with a subspace thump, their return to normal space was unexpected. Their port warp nacelle exploded moments later, and they were dragged down into the gravity well of a massive object. The crew had enough time to push a distress call before they entered into the atmosphere of one of the Earth sized platforms. With great skill, and just enough power the impeccable pilot brought the Aurora into a mostly controlled landing. The landing gear crumpled as she slid through the tall grass of a green meadow, coming to a stop several kilometres from touchdown.
Smoke drifted up from the remains of the port engine, the lowest two decks had compressed into a thick slab of twist metals. The animals that had fled from the crash started to return; human sized bipedal creatures, covered in downy feathers, approached out of curiosity. Any human child would have recognised these creatures and dinosaurs, specifically Utahraptors. Chirps and barks were exchanged among the pack of 30 or so animals. Tails used for balancing and agility stuck out straight behind powerful bodies. Four fingers tipped with sharp claws rested close to their bodies. Their toes end in equally sharp claws, and one large, curved claw on the outside of each foot. The pack approached the Aurora in a loose inverted V formation but stopped short a few dozen meters from the hull.
In the distance other animals kept their distance, each of these creatures were quadrupeds, long thick necks, massive bodies, and long tails and four thick legs.
